Kinda weird how you say you’re against fascism yet you shut down anyone just because they share a different opinion than you. You guys are exactly what you say you hate... FASCIST! How come I have never seen any member of antifa actually sit down with someone and have a civil debate? I’ve only ever seen them yell and throw tantrums. Doesn’t look good for you guys, yikes.

fascism in italy was not defeated by discourse.

Something I heard recently: if you insist on sheltering both lambs and wolves, you will get in the end only wolves. If you insist your safe space is safe for bigots as well as minorities you will have a space full of bigots- minorities will be driven out.

How is it that article from a while back phrased it: “Tolerance is not a moral precept it’s a peace treaty”

It’s not a paradox. Tolerance is an agreement and an exchange and if you break it you don’t get to be protected by it and you will suffer the consequences of breaking it. Period.

Tolerance cannot extend to intolerance and bigotry because they are antithetical to the entire framework of the exchange and exist to destroy the people and things that tolerance/acceptance is meant to build and protect.

So no. It is not hypocritical to be intolerant of your bigotry. I am simply enforcing the boundaries and consequences of breaking the social contract of treating people with compassion and humanity, if you broke the treaty, you don’t get to be protected by it, and enforcing consequences for breaking it is the only way to ensure that it continues to protect those it’s meant to and who contribute to it in good faith.

bars reserve the right to throw out patrons that are breaking stuff and hurting people. it shouldn’t be a radical position to say that society should be run at least as well as a bar.

y’all know that you don’t have to be a top or a bottom right?? and i dont mean that in a ‘switches are valid’ way i literally mean that you dont have to reproduce power dynamics while you’re having sex!! you and your partner can just… fuck… without anyone being in charge or submissive or touched exclusively or not touched at all. im saying this especially to the young queers out there who i know follow me and read fanfiction and engage in online dialogue re: sex, tumblr/twitter/fic-based discourse tends to get muddied and i just want you all to know that it’s really okay to just have sex without worrying about fitting into any specific role!!

this misconception that pedophiles are all old men with no families or social life who do nothing but lurk in the bushes all day has got to stop. there are pedophiles in fandom spaces. there are pedophiles who are authors and readers and artists. there are pedophiles who aren’t men, or middle aged. fandom in general tends to be so anti ~censorship~ that these people run rampant in fandom spaces and a lot of minors are hurt by it–I was, many people around my age that I know were. There are most definitely pedophiles writing and reading fanfic and making a community where absolutely nothing is censored or disallowed is only making a community that’s more welcoming to them.

and if you read this post and you’re about to post an angry rant in the replies about Censorship Bad and Don’t Like Don’t Read: take a moment to consider why the completely neutral, factual statement of “there are pedophiles in fandom spaces and those spaces should be made less welcoming to them” gets you so riled up
